It was hours later, when the sun had gone down and the moon was up that Alex finally awoke, fully aware of what had happened. He wanted to be angry at Morgan, he really did. But he just felt guilty, like he's forced the boy to do something he shouldn't have had to do...well he had...hadn't he? He sat up and winced in pain again as he ran a finger over the cuts and bruises. He looked over to Morgan and placed a kiss to the boy's head. "I warned you," he said quietly, snuggling down against the boy's chest.

Morgan shifted into a more comfortable position, his eyes falshed with his own inner hurt when Alex flinched in pain. His expression softened instantly when Alex showed softer emotion, "Yeah, and I never listen...so we're both to blame."

He cradled Alex into his arms protectively, where did this leave them? He placed a gentle kiss onto Alex's mouth and held him. He knew this wouldn't last, but he was enjoying having someone to take care of and the feeling of being needed. He was here because he wanted to be, and he was still keepig his promise to be here when he was needed, even if this time he did go against Alex's direct command to leave.

When Alex was stronger he would go back to the castle, he sighed because he knew Alex would tell him to whether he wanted to or not, and from the state of his clothing and the haggard look on his face he could effectively lie about being "lost" in the forest to cover his absence.
