Waiting for something

He heard her voice and ran over towards her and saw her. "Christy are you ok? Why did you come out here? You know its dangerous for students to be here." he said softly picking her up in his arms to carry her back to the castle. Why did she run into the woods?

"I...I didn't realize I had come out this far." she said with tears in her eyes. "I think I broke my ankle." She groaned as she put her hand to it fighting back a scream as hard as she could. "Oh my god it hurts."

He shook his head and said softly, "You shouldn't walk into the forest at night or any other time of day." He adjusted her in his arms still walking towards the castle. He exited the woods with her and continued to walk avoiding the occational rock and hole in the ground. When he reached the castle the doors were shut and he carefully opened the doors and walked into the entrance hall. "Well we're halfway there." he joked softly though he knew she wouldn't find it funny.

Christy's tears were only soft sobs once they reached the castle. She was sniffling, "Thats..not funny." she said looking up at him wishing her ankle wasn't broken, "W...why did you come after me?" she asked looking at him.

"Because i heard you scream and i thought something bad happened to you." he said softly. "I came running and almost tripped over a log because i wasn't paying attention." He walked down the hallway that lead to the hospital wing. "Madame Pomfrey will be able to heal your ankle quickly so it won't hurt much longer. I just hope she's not sleeping cause if she i'll have to wake her up. she doesn't like people seeing her in her nightgown."

"No." she said her face already buried in his chest, "Why did you really come after me?" she asked again hoping there was more behind it than her screaming. "My parents are going to kill me if they find out what happened." she muttered more to herself than to him.

"I came after you because I have feelings for you Christy." he said as they reached the hospital wing. He placed her on a bed and walked into Madame Pomfreys office and then walked out with Madame Pomfrey at his heels. "She fell and twisted her ankle pretty bad. I don't know if it's broken or not." Kenji said to Madame Pomfrey. All the nurse did was nod her head as she worked on tending to Christy. "I'll see you around Christy." he said and walked out of the hospital wing.

"Kenji!" she called looking at him as he walked off. "Don't..." she stopped herself from saying it since he had already left. Go. she thought in her head. What did I do to him to make him hate me so? she asked herself but let Madame Pomfrey tend to her ankle.

He walked down the marble steps and sighed deeply. She probably hates me. After not being able to talk to her in years. Not being able to tell her that i was alive and that i missed her. She more than likely hates me. He thought as he sat down on the steps.

Please come back here. She thought after Madame Pomfrey told her she would have to spend the night in the hospital wing. Please don't make me stay here alone. She wanted Kenji there no matter how much she thought he hated him. If he did hate her she knew she was silly for still being in love with him but then again you couldn't pick who you loved could you?

Kenji sat on the steps wanting to go back but not wanting to at the same time. She probably wants nothing to do with me. But i want to go back and tell her how i feel but i don't know what to do. he thought softly to himself.
