"Yeah well, lets face it, you're drawn to everyone." Alex said biting his lip. He hoped he hadn't over stepped the line, but he was getting close. "Lets not complicate things, Gary is better with simple words a phrases, not that he isn't clever...he just doesn't broaden his horizons. If that makes sense." Alex felt a slight twinge of jealousy thinking of all the women Nicholas had been with. He wasn't jealous of Nicholas, more of the women. He blushed slightly hoping the other man didn't notice.

"Why are you blushing, boy?" Nicholas teased, smiling at Alex as he grabbed the boy's chin and forced him to face him. "Have you thought of something suitable to say? Well? Out with it! Or is it something else...?" He laughed and tousled Alex's hair, smiling and shaking his head. Hopefully these jokes would make the boy come out of his shell a little more. Nicholas was sure that there was a terribly interesting person hiding away in there - perhaps knowing kindred spirits would pull it into the light.

Alex grinned, "I'd hardly call it suitable," he said. Blushed even more. He loved the way he was becoming more relaxed around the professor. It was almost as if he was shedding an outer shell. He smiled, he knew he could pull off a 'cute and innocent' look with ease - he had done it a lot back home to get out of trouble. But he doubted it would work on Nicholas, but it was worth a try. Smoothing his hair back into place, Alex stretched up revealing some of his stomach beneath his shirt. He was very thin, but he liked it that way. It was what made him feel nice, what he knew other people looked at first. Something that had given him what little confidence he had begun with.

So on strode the new Ravenclaw Quidditch captain, a proud smile across her lips as she held her broom tightly in her hand. Never had she thought of herself good enough to be a captain but obviously people thought otherwise which had boosted her confidence ever so slightly as more people would stop to talk to her, congratulate her on her success for the team and herself. Before she looked around, her eyes panning to see nothing but two figures, frowning slightly she made one out to be Alex but who was the other — he was too tall to be a student and then from the billowing of his shirt and the way Alex was standing it was obvious — only one teacher had that effect, Professor Nicholas Flitwick, a smirk grew on her face as she walked over but stopping, wondering if she was interrupting anything.

Nicholas stood up at the sight of Faith approaching them. "Watch and learn," he muttered, winking to Alex, before Faith came into earshot. When she'd made it over to them, he bowed low and greeted her with words soaked in treacle and honey: "Good morning, Mademoiselle Liquin. It has indeed been too long since we have met in a social capacity. Lesson time is simply not...personal enough, don't you think?" He smiled at her, his eyes meeting hers in a captivating gaze as he focused all his magic upon her. Alex would have to learn without, but for the purposes of demonstration, Nicholas was going to use every power he possessed. Besides, he knew Faith to be particularly susceptible to his veela powers, despite her being part veela herself. It didn't normally work that way - perhaps it was something to do with Nicholas' natural attraction and charm...

Alex blinked, as if some veil had been lifted from his eyes. He didn't quite know what he was doing. Obviously he was trying to learn how to 'pick up chicks'. But he didn't exactly want to. He had Gary, it wasn't like he needed to pick up anyone else. He bit his lip as Nicholas re-direct his powers onto Faith. Now that wasn't fair, he could hardly seduce her when she was clearly with someone else...Alex stepped back a little, but wasn't that exactly what the professor had been doing to him? And hadn't he, Alex, been the one to, well, start the teaching. If that was really what you could call it. He wanted to leave, but Nicholas had said he would give him lessons on other things too...things that might come in useful. Sighing, Alex sat back down on the bench and just watched...hoping Faith would hold her tongue to Gary about what she had seen.

"You don't charm me anymore Nicholas," She smirked as she then looked over to Alex and waved slowly, "Hey Alex!" She smiled sounding amused as she looked to Nicholas again, her smile growing wider and her eyes burned with curiosity, "Now, now, your not attacking the poor boy are you?" She laughed bitterly, of course, she was only just playing with Nicholas as she knew what he was really like.

Alex smiled as he made his way over to Faith the and the professor. "Hello Faith," he said smiling at her, "I was just learning some charms, I was never very good at charms back at Durmstrang...our teacher used to put us in pairs and hope for the best...it didn't exactly work very well." He smirked to himself that on his first demonstration the professor had failed him. Not to worry, there were plenty more unsuspecting girls awaiting his arrival.

Faith smiled to him as she then slipped up her rather large black sunglasses, her radiant smile showing of her perfect white teeth as she then slipped her arm around Alex's neck, playful of course as they were close friends, Alex consoled in Faith with most things since she too, had a vampire boy friend. "Ahh well, your learn charms from a good teacher, just watch his hands," She smirked as she looked to Nicholas and lifted her sunglasses onto her head as she winked to him, the Professor and herself went a while back, so they knew each other rather well, there wasn't anybody in the school whom hadn't heard of Faith Liquin.

"Oh, I beg to differ, Miss Liquin," he murmured, stepping aside to allow her to stand in a more socially optimal place. "You were always quite susceptible to my, ahem, talents." He raised his eyebrow, recalling the first night he had arrived, and met her at the Yule Ball, and taken her out for a midnight picnic to test how much magic it would take to break a young, hormonal woman. And since then he'd kept tripping her up, catching her unawares but never taking advantage fully. For some reason, he held Faith Liquin in high respect. Perhaps it was her magical talent and how well suited she was for Charms. Or perhaps it was because she had veela blood too.

"I know you like to try your, talents, on anything innocent and unaware," She smirked deviously to him as she then licked her lips as she turned to Alex with a large welcoming smile as she placed a slobbery kiss on his cheek, with a small laugh leaving her peachy lips. Her eyes were alive, dazzling and excited, the light making them even more electric than normal as she stood confidently, she was around two people whom she could feel herself around, even the Professor, she liked how he understood her in some, strange, un-natural way. She was aware of his strong Veela powers, she found it irritating how he was so much stronger than she was when it came to such things, but she was young, she would over-take him at some point.

Alex blushed slightly at Faith's comment, not that he would mind Nick's hands wandering, but he wasn't exactly innocent. But he was aware, even if Nick had only been 'showing off' his talents. He smiled at them both, it was strange to think that Nick was a teacher - he seemed much more at home talking with the students than working. But that was only a first impression. Alex turned to Faith, "Yes, I hope to be learning a lot," he flashed Nick a smile but didn't say anymore. He didn't want Faith to catch on.

"Believe me, boy, you will learn plenty," he said quickly, knowing Faith was working on euphemisms as well, but she and him more for comic reasons than Alex. Faith knew Nick well, and knew that if he took a shine to a student, it didn't mean he would take advantage or put them in an uncomfortable position just for his own gain. No; he only did that to the stupid ones, not nice, intelligent one like Alex, or Faith. The point of this new alliance with Alex was to give the boy some confidence, not to abuse his trust. He winked at Faith, shooting her one of his enigmatic crooked smiles, hoping she would catch his implied suggestion that they both put their magic on full blast, so to speak...

Alex should have know Faith well enough by now, she knew just how both of them worked and they had looked to natural for their own good whens he had come over, Nick couldn't be left two minuted with somebody without trying to use his charms on them in anyway, wether it had been a boy or girl, man or woman. "Oh I see," Faith laughed softly before twisting her lips into another, amused smile. She could see Alex's small glances to Nick, he wasn't very good at playing innocent, "Surly you would be doing this in the Charms classroom or the Professors for that matter, hmm?" She turned to Alex, she wanted him to answer the question, would he stumble over his words? How much of a hold did Nick have over the poor, innocent Alex.

Alex bit his lip, "It was such nice weather we thought we'd stay out here. We were only here in the first place to watch the sun rise...it hadn't been planned. It just kind of...happened." Alex slid his hands into his pockets. He was starting to get confused, what with both Nick and Faith shooting each other glances, Nick's 'talent' still playing on his mind and now Faith was asking him obscure questions. What did they know that he didn't?

Go on, give in, Miss Liquin, Nick thought to himself as he imagined turning the dial of his magic up a few notches, knowing Faith would sense the change and hopefully match it. Poor Alex, but it would be tremendous fun. That was the benefit of knowing other veela; fun could be had in threes, if one caught one's drift. "Mmm, yes, it was pure chance. Pure chance," he said in his customary upper class drawling voice that was so irritating, yet so fluid and seductive at the same time.

Faith grinned mischievously towards Nick, she knew just what she was doing and the was nothing like a bit of healthy competition to get the thick, veela blood pumping through her veins. "Wait, so you just happened to bump into each other and then watched the sunset? A bit unlikely since Nick's a professor and all, or are you into the older, gentleman," She laughed, it was slow and seductive at the same time as she realized her Veela magic, like her words dripping off her tongue coated in velvet. Her lips became pursed as she smirked to Nick, giggling to herself under her heavy breath that stained the air.

Alex glanced between the two, "N-no I don't. I don't," his voice faded quietly. Slowly he realized what they were doing, why he was feeling like this. So they just wanted him there to play tricks on him. Nick was supposed to be building his confidence, not knocking it down. So that's why there kept looking at each other. They were laughing at him behind his back. Watch the normal human fall into their trap. He looked at the floor and just waited. Who would win their little battle? The older more experienced Professor? or the younger more energetic Miss Liquin? Alex didn't care, as long as they stopped messing about with him so he could leave. He'd rather they laughed at him when he wasn't there.

Nick stopped suddenly, frowning. "Miss Liquin, I do believe we've hurt the boy's feelings. Perhaps we ought to refrain from our simple task and explain a little. You see, dear Alex, we are not making fun of you. Far from it; we are trying to make you, ahem, freer with your emotions. My boy, if you keep yourself so bottled up all the time, there are bound to be explosions. Nobody ever found explosions good, did they? No." He flicked his fringe from his eyes and tilted his head to the sky, unable to resist posing, if only for a moment.

"The person who invented gunpowder obviously enjoyed them," Alex said, still keeping his head down, "I'd much rather keep things bottled up than have people read me like a book." Alex sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "Thank you for your help, sir, but I don't think I'm the person you were looking for." Alex smiled at the professor and then to Faith. "Maybe there will be someone else a little easier to work with."
