The day was a cloudy day. Luna had wore a jacket just in cause it rained. She hoped it didn't though, it would ruin her chances of sending a letter home to her father, Xenophilius. She raced down the stairs hoping not to fall as she headed to the Owlery. The tall tower was set off a bit from the school and some students went there every day. She saw a couple of kids hanging out front talking and some inside, attaching letters to owls.

Luna looked up through the tower to find all kinds of owls hooting and waiting on someone to attach a letter to them. Luna smiled. The creatures seemed so peaceful. There was one that was snow white and Luna walked over to it. Hedwig? She petted the owl and it hooted softly. She giggled. It seemed to remember her. She didn't have an owl herself so she kept looking for one. She finally found an owl and attached the letter to it. It hooted excitedly and then flew off. She watched it was it glided over the forest out of the Hogwarts grounds.

"Beautiful creatures aren't they?" she smiled following the pale girls gaze. Sally had just attached a letter to one of the school owls. The letter was intended to go to her parents and her next door neighbours. Her neighbours were Blaze's parents and as he did not write home himself she had to inform his parents what he was up to, of course, without his knowledge of it.

Luna turned to see the girl talking to her."Yes they are..."she stood and faced the girl. "I'm Luna Lovegood of Ravenclaw."She smiled. She figured if she started making new friends then maybe she would feel so lonely sometimes.

"Ah the supposed 'Loony Lovegood'," she made quote marks in the air around the girl's nickname. "God i hate nicknames, you never get to know the real person. Luna is a lovely name. Your one of Harry's friends. I'm Sally Stranger, 4th year, Gryffindor," she smiled warmly.

Luna smiled."Nicknames are the worst.Even though I really don't care what they call me..."she said. "Sally is a lovely name too, I have a aunt who's name is Sally."She giggled. "I'm a 5th year and yeah I guess you would know me for hanging with the famous Harry Potter." Luna did admit, some people did start talking to her before when they saw her with Harry. She just didn't talk to them.

They were the same people who had made fun of her before.

"He maybe famous for You-Know-Who and everything but I personally see him for his Quidditch. He is also now our captain aswell" she beamed at the change to mention Quidditch. "Do you play?" she asked Luna, she didn't think she had seen her before. Hmmm.... actually she may be the girl with the roaring lion hat? she thought. To her it was strange to support anyone else but your own house. But if her friends are here...

"No I don't play,"Luna admitted,"But I have commentated before.Other than that, I'm just a regular fan in the crowd."Luna smiled. She probably remembers me from the crazy hats I wore...*giggle*.I loved those hats...

"Ah shame," she frowned not able to talk about quidditch. "So..." she said uncomfortably not knowing what to talk about. Meeting new friends was difficult if they werent into quidditch. What do i talk about? We have no mutual friends or anything! She thought while trying to think of something which was casual and not to do with quidditch. Or Harry for that matter as that would make it look like that was the only reason for her to be speaking to Luna.

"Yeah...."Luna trailed."Well....I gotta go..."Luna said starting for the door.Why can't I think of anything to talk about?!

"Does your Dad write that magazine?" She quickly blurted out. "You know the one about.. unusual.. issues?" she smiled. Everyone knew aout the Quibbler and it's nonsense. But at least it supports Harry She thought. Sally and her family all supported the Order and anyone else who did should be encouraged.

Luna turned around excitedly. "Yes my father does write the Quibbler!Xenophilius is his name...I miss him.But at least I can send letters home to him."Luna said looking at all the owls. "Mostly he just talks about Harry,"Luna said smiling.

Hunter made his way up the steps to the owlery with a letter in hand, it was a letter for Sky, his cousin, whom where like brother and sister, pushing open the door he saw two girls both he had seen around Hogwarts Luna a Ravenclaw and Sally a Gryffindor with out a word to them given the fact they were in deep conversation he went to the window and gave a small whistle a barn owlflew from it's perch and landed delicatly on the window ledge, holding out it's leg, attaching that to it, he petted it softly and it flew off, home ward bound.

"Well at least there's one magazine that supports Harry. The newspapers don't. If Dumbledore believes in him that's enough for me! Why not everyone else," she shrugged. While she had been talking, someone else had entered the owlery. It was a Professor she had seen rarely before- she didn't even know his name or what subject he taught. To be honest she didn't know anything about him at all.

Tally walked quicky up the steps to the owlery, she had a letter in her hand that she and Leah had written to their mum and dad the night be for. She reached the top of the steps and entered, there was a few people already here, "Hiya" she said politly recognising an older Ravenclaw Luna 'looney' Lovegood, Tally quiet like Luna, she was nice. Tally looked up seaching for her owl, Benny.

"Hey," she replied. SHe had no idea who this girl was but guessed she was a Ravenclaw as she knew Luna. The girl had her own owl and Sally watched as she tied a letter to it's leg. The owlery as quite busy now compared to when she had first go here.

Luna smiled. She turned to see a man walk into the owlery, a teacher and turned back to Sally. "Yeah I mean all the other newspapers I don't read, because they are saying horrible things about Harry..."Then she heard someone else come in the owlery and it was a girl in Ravenclaw. "Hi there."Luna smiled.

She had seen this girl before in her house. Second year maybe?

Edward reluctantly made his way to the owlery, the owl, honestly hated him, all animals did as he smelt to them of death, but he couldn't blame them he was dead after all, with a Letter in hand for Alice given she didn't often like things with wings he pushed open the door and stepped in the owls suddenly fluttered and most flew higher or away, he had disturbed there sleep, he noted the various studens two Ravenclaws and a Gryffindor, he knew two one being Luna the other Sally, he didn't know the other one.

"Hey Edward," she waved as she turned and saw him walk in the door. The other teacher left as he entered. "Hey, Edward, Do you know who that teacher was? I don't really know anything abut him?" she asked. Edward knew everything. Not only because he was intelligent, old (technically) and was a sevebth year but he could read minds.

"Of course," she laughed at the scared owls. "Which one do you want?" she asked politely. The owls were very scared of Edward, so much so, that they were all trying to fit onto the highest rafters possible. "Also what is Wicca?" she asked Edward. She had racking her brains for the word but decided she had never come across it.
