Shade was sitting in the corner of the tall tower looking up at how all the owls were flying around chaotically but still in some sort of order. He liked to go up there to think about all the things that had happened over the last couple of years. All the dangers and adventures that he has heard of. Hogwarts fascinated him but he wished that he had some other people to share his thoughts with and start and adventure.

Callie Rose climed up the stairs to the tower, she needed somewhere to sit and think for a while. She got to the top and she saw Shade. *She smiled*
"hi there Shade" Callie said in her sweet ringing yet smoth as velvet voice. She liked shade, he was nice and understanding -and he too was half vampire.

"Oh hi," Shade said with a quick look to Callie,"I didn't really expect to see anyone up here, but I'm glade that i ran into you."

Shade sat for a sec thinking about what he had said. He always over analyzed everything that he says and does. It's something that he had always done. From always having the power to feel what other people are feeling gives him the thought that he is affecting that person to make them feel that way. Shade's brain gets vary scrambled vary easily so he always just ends up saying something vary simple to just chill himself out.

"do you come up hear allot?" Shade asked knowing from sensing her what her answer was going to be.

"yeh i do... when i need sometime to think or something like that" *she smiled again*. Callie walked towards Shade and sat down next to him.
"i hope im not interupting anything." she said it almost like a question.

"oh no," Shade Replied,"You're not. I was actually just thinking about how i needed to find someone to be around more. See i don't know that many people around here," Shade stopped for a second hoping that he was not pushing her to much to be his friend,"I mean, What made you think to come up here?" Shade's pail face turned a faint pink. It never makes it to a deep red because of his skin.

"Oh i just wanted to get away from the chaos of the commonroom and the rest of the school." she said poitly.
"I dont know many people eaither, we could hang out if you wanted i dont have any real friends here as i just stared hogwarts cos my dad used to teach me." She looked down...
"Well acctualy seen-as-though im stuck at the age of 17 i couldnt pretend to be 11 to start in the first year it would be a bit obvous im not, then questions would be asked and blah-de-blah so its easyer is i only ever do the last two years of school." "Im not sure if that made sense but you get the idea, you understand what it's like to be a vampire -well at least part vampire." She looked emberassed.

"Yeah i do know what you mean," replied shade,"I myself am stuck at the age of 17 but i think that you are 'older' then me." Shade looked at her hoping that, that didn't offended her.

"I have never found anyone that really understands me, and i think that you and I can really relate and can become really good friends."

There was a small pass in the conversation and Shades thoughts wondered for a little bit about all the things that they can do that other students would only have nightmares about. But we would find fascinating.

Callie smiled, she was glad he understood her, she certinly understood-well tryed and hoped she did- and empathised with him.

"I like old fashion," Shade said with a smile,"I like to listen to records in my room and i just can't stop reading books no matter how modern our society gets."

Shade Looked around for a second at an owl or two thinking of how old he must b have been.

"Close to 40 years," shade thought to himself,"wow has it really been that long since i have been human."

Shade said,"I have gone to all different types of wizarding schools in my lifetime, and so far this one is my favorite.

Callie smiled "me too. i still like some of the old stuff we used-to have and do."

"yeh it has been a while."
"some times i feel as if time has past as if it were seconds and other times if feels like centuries since i was human with my family"
Callie looked down she was sad thinking of her past, thinking of her mother

Many years has passed since Shade became a vampire and he isn't sure how old he is,"yeah i know, everything just seems like a week when its really a decade and yet everyday seems like an eternity almost. Nothing stays the same when you want it to but it seems all the bad things will never go away. But we have to live on day to day with the fact that its always going to change and since no one can escape time we must change as well."

Callie sighed "i wish i could just for a day or even an hour, escape time. just stop it still and catch up with myself"

"Amhmm" Callie agreed. Her thoughts now wondered towards her mother who had lived a human life and so died around fifty years ago. Callie often wished she could live and die so easily as a human, she wished she could have a human life; not having to hide in the shadows and not having to be careful of every movement to make sure she doesn’t expose her self or harm anybody.

Shade looked up kinda surprised that she answered him," yeah i have all the same except for the last two i have herbolygy and Flying."

Callie laughed slightly at the insignificance of flying lessons, she had always thought the use of a broom was never needed as she could travel quickly and easily with out one, although she did occationaly use one. "that um sounds cool" she didnot know how to reply to this conversation.
