Sammael looked at Rose then back at Marcus, "I don't believe you," he hissed. His eyes narrowed at Rose, "I don't like you lying to me, my dear." He turned his attention back to Marcus, a cold smile creeping across his face, "I'm going to enjoy draining you boy." He pushed Marcus' head to the side, exposing his neck, then bit into it, the blood rushing into his mouth....

Marcus gasped again, his airway being cut off by Sammael's grip. "Rose..." he choked, his eyes widening at the sight of Sammael's fangs. 'He's a vampire?!' he thought, before his mind went black. He felt the fangs sink into his neck, felt the blood being sucked out of him. It was a curious sensation, one of pain and pleasure. His eyes found Rose's, pleading with her to make it stop. He didn't want to die, not tonight, not now.

"NO!" Rose screamed at the top of her lungs - it was so passionate, and yet so high pitched and pathetic. How could this be happening? Not only was it painful to see Marcus being hurt in such a brutal and lethal way, but the fact that Sammael was breaking their vow cut deeplyin a very selfish, twisted way. Anger rising within her at both these facts - she'd made that promise to stop events just like this, after all - she grabbed Sammael's arm and punched him hard in the back of the head, clutching at his hair and pulling him backwards sharply, his fangs sliding out of the deep punctures in Marcus' neck. "No," she said again, staring into his eyes. Her voice was still raised, but her tone was much more firm, like that of someone scolding a wild animal.

Sammael grunted slightly and snarled, not liking the fact that he was being pulled away from his prey. His eyes flashed dangerously as he looked into Rose's dark eyes, a dribble of Marcus' blood running down his chin. He growled at her, taking a step towards her. She cared for this man, that much was obvious. If she didn't she would have let him die. "No? Who are you to tell me 'no'?" he snarled, his lips curling back over his teeth. He still had ahold on Marcus' chin, although it wasn't as tight as before.

"I am your prey, that's who," she growled back, matching his tone and holding his chin in the same way that he was holding Marcus. "Why the hell are you drinking from him when I'm here?" She pushed him down to the floor and mounted him, pushing down hard on his shoulders so that he would - hopefully - stay there. "You say I've betrayed you. It hurt you. So why do you dare betray me?"

[I'm Naboo, that's who...]

Sammael glared darkly at her for a few moments, before his gaze softened slightly. "That much is true..." He licked his lips then smirked, "You taste better anyway." He no longer had a grip on Marcus, having been pushed to the floor. With one hand he took a hold of her chin then pushed her head to the side, slightly rougher than usual, then sunk his fangs into her neck. He was hungrier now, having had the taste of blood, but not being satisfied. He now forgot completely about what had been happening, his mind only focused on Rose and her sweet blood filling his mouth.

Marcus opened his eyes as he felt Sammael release his chin. He blinked a few times, disorientated, then felt something warm trickling down his neck. He reached up and touched his neck gingerly, his fingers coming back red. He grimaced then pressed his hand to the wound, trying to stem the blood flow. He looked down at Rose straddling Sammael and gasped at the sight of him feeding off her. "Rose!" he breathed, unsure of what to do.

"It's fine, Marcus," she breathed, feeling his gaze on her. "This is our deal. I'll heal your wound when he's finished. I'm so sorry - this was meant to stop anything like that ever happening." She ran her fingers through Sammael's hair as he fed, clutching him to her neck. "Hush my darling," she murmured, stroking his hair.

Sammael closed his eyes, pulling Rose closer to him as he sat up and wrapped his arms around her waist. He let out a soft moan, still drinking from her deeply, his hunger never being quite satisfied. He was always left wanting more. One hand crept up her back, his fingers tangling in her hair. He didn't even register her talking to Marcus, forgetting that he was in the room.

Marcus looked doubtful, feeling uncomfortable about just watching Sammael feeding off Rose. He looked away and nodded slowly, "I think i understand." He couldn't help but feel a tiny bit upset that Rose had never spoken to him about Sammael. Perhaps it would have been easier to understand if she had told him earlier. He sighed and looked out of the window, unsure of what to do next.

Oh, Marcus, if only you could see that I didn't tell you for a reason. I feel terrible now. I kept it from you because you weren't a vampire, because you were human, and because I didn't want the memory of you to be tainted. All selfish reasons, I know; if only you could see that. If I'd told you, you would have stayed away from me - I'm dangerous! He's dangerous! I didn't want you to run, I wanted you close. How selfish of me. Oh, Marcus: this was the inevitable that I wished and hoped and prayed would never come. Of course it was always going to happen, but I thought if I wished hard enough, and pretended none of this existed, then this twisted world would never touch you. I could have slipped away from you a few nights a month and seen him, and neither of you would have known about the other, and everything would have been perfect. Again, that's selfish - I can't have two different bargains, swear two opposing vows, make two contradictory promises. I'm so, so, sorry.

Marcus shifted again. He didn't trust this Sammael but surely if she had a deal with him, then he wouldn't really hurt her? A very strong part of him was wanting to leave, and quickly. He could feel the pain begining to cut into his stone heart, even if he hadn't known her for very long. Sure, nothing was official, but this girl knew his secrets. He felt somewhat cheated by the fact that he had told her all of his secrets and she hadn't told all of hers. "I think...i'll go now..." he muttered, glancing back at Rose and Sammael. He looked at Sammael, "Take care Rose." He walked to the window and jumped out, transforming into a large black eagle as he fell the ground. He swoared upwards, heading towards the forest. At least as a bird his mind could be taken over by natural instinct and heightened senses.
