| Rose was at the very back of the Library, sitting between two shelves in the unfortunately small 'Muggle Fiction' section of the school library. It was the only place quiet enough to read nowadays - since she and Faith had had the dormitory to themselves Edward had been visiting her roommate constantly, and the Ravenclaw common room was far too full of other students fretting about their exams for her to get any peace and quiet there, either. So she'd taken her Oscar Wilde collection to the library and intended to remain, wedged between these two shelves, until she had finished two plays, a novel, and her favourite poems. It would take all day, but she had time. That's just what she wanted; time to herself, with Oscar Wilde, the man who understood everything. She was too upset today to read any Virginia Woolf, so it was Oscar who would be the one to comfort her, and she was certain that he would succeed. It was difficult to concentrate on The Picture Of Dorian Gray. Basil Hallward's praises of Dorian's beauty reminded her far too much of someone she knew; she could hear those words in Gary's voice, with the name 'Dorian' replaced by 'Alex'. Well, she didn't want to read it if it was going to be tainted so. No, she wouldn't spoil it. She closed it and opened An Importance Of Being Ernest instead, and only had to read two pages before she was laughing out loud to herself, glad there was no one around to hear her. _________________ Was your work of art so heavy that it would not let you live? | ( I found you mwhahah) Edward had a small stack of books to return, he had of course had little time to read the books given, He of course had spent most of his free time with Faith, most people knew that, but of course at times, Edward took time to himself, Although admittidly he pretty much centered around Faith of course. With the small pile of books tucked under his arm, Edward headed into the Libary, ithere were a few hushed whispers through out the room, Madame Price had to on the odd ocassion hush students. As Edward passed the many tables glances looked his way, which he casually ignored. One or two students he knew, therefore Edward would nod polietly, casting with it a small smile, which one or two girls would giggle at. Silently Edward headed towards the desk where he was greeted by the smiling Madame Price, Which in her many greeting was growing tiering. Once he had handed over the books Edward silently sliped between the many rows of tables and chairs reaching one of the many book shelfs, his fingers skimmed the rows with ease, his eyes flickering over each title. crouched now, he soon found the book he was after, one that had been advised by the professor, each year or every 100 years or so the books seemed to be re-aranged amoung the shelves and even the shelves them selfs seemed to be moved each time. As Edward pulled out the desired book with it "The Monster book of Monsters" too snapped harshly, Edward with drew his hand more so in surprise, Clamping the book shut with a hand he stroked the spine "Stupid thing" he muttered in his loathing at it, in fac the loathed care of magical creatures for that matter, only due to the fact it was utterly ironic. Replacing the book, he picked up his one then stood, only to catch the scent of a famiular person. Following that scent Edward wove amoung the many shelves and spotted Rose sitting with her back against one. "Hello." he said suddenly coming to stop some way before her. |
