This was Professor Darien’s favourite time of day, in the pale light of dawn when the library is quiet. Few students dare to browse before the fortitude of breakfast and, after a night spent chasing teenagers out of the restricted section, Darien appreciated the opportunity for undisturbed work. He walked through the shelves with his fingers trailing over book spines as he checked condition and placement and made sure that the books were content. Magical books tended to be high stung and even the tamer books would take a snap at a student’s hand if provoked. Darien preferred to keep the library’s eclectic collection as calm as possible, a task he was well suited to, in his own placid manner.



Sometimes a student would come by during the time, usually because they had left an assignment too late. There desperately scribbling students hardly disturbed the library’s brief moment of peace, so when the doors were pushed open for the first time that morning, Darien offered only a distracted smile in greeting.

"Herbology?" she questioned, and pouted as she thought about it and smiled, and looked at him, "I adore herbology, The only lesson i can do without either blowing something up, or accidently killing it" she admitted in defeat, rolling her shoulders and looking at him. His ink stained hand, she eyed her own as they had remains on her fingertips, from holding her quill so bitterly as she wrote a paniced letter to her adopted brother the night before about her essay, wondering hwo he had done.

Molly smiled at him, laughing softly and covering her mouth with her hand as she done so. He was a nice bloke, he wasn't like the other teacher that had confronted her on her first day and circled her like she was something to eat. She smiled and followed his gaze over to the tail, her eyes lighting up, "Oh you have a puppy?" she stated, looking at him, grinning. She always referred to dogs as puppies, why she didn't know. It just worked and dogs seemed to like it better when she played with them and called them puppies, she nodded, "Oh yes I loved dogs, I love animals in general actually" she grinned, "I have a ferret, called sweeny, But he was still asleep when i got up, he lays on his back with his tongue sticking out and squeeks if i touch him" she said and laughing lightly, "Animals are precious, Human needs companions like dogs and other pets, you know?" she blinked, she was babbling, "Im sorry" she blushed.

Molly smiled at him, "Oh don't worry, He's adorable," she said reaching down and rubbing the dogs back, and giving him a small ear massage, "aw, you like that?" she asked as the dog lightly wagged his tail, she looked up at Darien and almost blushed and continued to pat the dog as he lay across her feet, she raised an eyebrow at the lazy pup, and looked at Darien again, "My life isn't as great as I make it sound trust me" she admitted softly, raising her eyes and giving a rather funny expression. Laughing at herself she looked at him, "So, Mister Daas?" she asked before continueing, "Your lucky to get out of the library, I agree though." she murmered and looked at Mith, smiling widely at the dog, so lovable already. Either that or Molly just adored animals none stop, "Aw don't apologise, Let me apologise when sweeny decides to see how good you taste - He's a bugger for that" she stated, rubbing her neck with her free hand, while the other was now rubbing up and down on Mith's stomach as he rolled over, she grinned. "I wish my parents let me have a dog" she laughed.

( I assume were still in the libary? lol, and I aplogize now for scaring your dog Darien lmao)

Although Edward had graduated, or more so dropped out he still had books which were in desprate need of returning as did he have some of Faiths in turn. Making his way swiftly along the corridor, he finally reached the libary, and it's giant doors, pushing thm open with ease he made his way inside. It was of course very quite what with it being exceedingly early in the morning, the libarian was sorting out books, with a swish of her wand and many other books were deciding to misbehave. He cast his gaze around and spotted suddenly a very obvious figure of Molly. With a small twisted smile into a crroked one at that Edward gracefully made his way over, only to pause halfway a sudden scent caught his attention much like werewolfs he very nearly retched, yet greatfully he managed to maintain his composure. But realized it was only the small furry friend at a mans feet, whom he had noticed now. Edward did not get very far before the dog labrador at that begun to bark fiercely at Edward. It's shakles raised it's teeth bared. Edward said nothing mearly met the mutts gaze a flicker of domince passed, hoping it was not visble although. Of course that was doubtful. The mutt suddenly placed it's tail between it's legs and whimpered befor it curled it's self under it's masters feet. "Good morning Molly." Edward said then casually as if nothing had happend and as he ignored the dissaproving looks from the libarian.

"Oh poppycock, Didn't upset me at all professor" she said and smiled kindly at him. Rubbing the dogs ear softly and blinked lightly as it instantly rolled over and moved by its owners feet, she frowned at its reaction. Yes, her Sweeny had a terrible habit of latching onto people Molly hadn't met or got on with. Drawing blood very quickly, Sweeny was a strangely protective Ferret. Molly sometimes wondered if it was infact a person pretending to be her pet ferret, Though she preffered to think otherwise as the Ferret often came with her wherever she would wander. She shifted slightly as the dog began to growl and looked at the dogs eyes and watched its tail go between its legs. A reaction her ferret had done. Molly raised an eyebrow and looked over and smiled widely, "Edward" she said happily. Looking back to Darien, "That's fantastic, Your own classroom, I shall have to take your class, You know which book to give me for my bloody weed so you must be good at something" she teased, and cleared her throat, "Sorry, This is Edward cullen, a close friend of mine, and Edward, This is Darien Daas, a new professor" she said smiling. Feeling somewhat estactic she could introduce someone.

Faith stumbled into the Library, holding a book that she had to return, long past its return date but she had reasons, NEWTS and having a child did delay you slowly. She moved over to see the back of Edward, her tips twitching as she caught sight of Molly, she then walked over to slip her arm around Edward as she peaked from around his arm, "Going to introduce me?" She asked in a slow, gentle manor before she then flashed Molly a small smile, before she then stood beside him, straightening her clothes before she then looked to the new Librarian, nodding to him with a wide grin, offering her hand, "Faith Liquin," She added, before smiling up to Edward.
