When Textbooks Attack! (Darien and Imogen)

Darien looked rather silly with his hand wrapped up in his waistcoat, his rumpled white shirt speckled with blood and a split lower lip. One of the more… vicious books had escaped and Darien, foolishly without his wand at the time, had paid dearly for his victory. One of his fingers was broken, he was sure of it. So the librarian made his first ever trip to the hospital wing to see about somebody who actually knew something about healing spells. Pushing the door open with his shoulder, Darien blindly thrust his hand out in explanation and desperately hoped that there were not too many students there to witness his humiliation.

It was one of the quieter times in the Hospital Wing and Imogen had no idea how to control her boredom, either sitting there with a book or sorting the Hospital Wing out when she shot up from the end of the bed where she was sitting and looked over to the door. He must have been new otherwise she hadn't seen him before, "Oh my!" She whispered under her breath as she then moved over to him, "Here," She added as she placed him down on one of the pre-made beds, examining the wound of his hand as she then bit down on her lip, "Now what happened here?" She asked, he was obviously one of the teachers, therefore she didn't have to use such a patronizing tone, looking up to him with her gentle eyes before she then stepped back and walked over to the cupboard, two of his fingers were broken, but it wouldn't take long to heal.

“Oh, The Ancient Text of Shadow Charms bit me,” Darien said ruefully, wincing as the mediwitch inspected his hand. “I’m afraid that I am rubbish at healing charms. The last time I tried to heal a paper cut I managed to turn my fingers orange for a week… not my best look at all.” He offered a shyly charming smile that looked a little odd with his lip all swollen and beginning to turn purple. “My name is Darien Daas, by the way. By what name may I call you?”

"Im Ms. Strait, but you can call me Imogen," She flashed him an adoring grin that soothed even the toughest of students before she then pursed her lips together and grabbed a purple liquid and poured it into a goblet before tottering back over to Darien and passed to his left hand, "drink this and your two broken fingers should be fixed in no time." She added with a small wink, placing her wand around his bloodstained shirt they soon disappeared to leave it clean and crisp. "Now you are free to leave, but if any pain does come back then be sure to come back so I can help you."

Darien drank the proffered potion and nodded when his fingers immediately began to feel better. “Thankyou very much, Miss Imogen,” he said. Patting at his shirt, he chuckled. “Do you know, I believe this is the neatest my shirt has been in years. You are a woman of many talents. If ever you have need of me, I shall likely be in the library. Do feel free to drop by at any time.” Darien wriggled his fingers, curious to see that even the seemingly permanent inks stains were fading now. “No doubt I shall be a frequent visitor of yours.”

"Well, then, I don't think I will be complaining about that no doubt," She whispered with a small tempting grin lingering on her lips before she then smoothed her hair down over her shoulder before she then looked around, "does it get lonely in the Library?" She asked with a charming smile, her heels hitting the floor whilst she slipped the goblet and potion back away so that everything was neat, turning back to him so her eyes could rest on his charming physique. Her lips twisted into a small, seductive grin almost before she let out a small giggle and rested her side along the stone wall.

Darien blinked, almost certain that he was missing something. “Urm… not really. I mean, there are the books. And the students do insist on invading at regular intervals, though sometimes I do miss an intelligent conversation. Does…” Darien paused, uncertain if the question was too personal. “Does it get lonely, in the hospital wing?” He finally said, surprised to discover a faint blush working its way up his throat.

"Of course it does, if Im not treating a student, Im on my own and it's so big in here and I have to be here incase I get an emergence incident to sort out, all these Hogwarts kids — always falling over and hurting themselves." She mused before she then slipped her hand to rest on her jutted out hip, "But, you are always welcome in here, Mr. Diaas." She whispered as she gently ran her tongue over her lower lip and twirled her long blonde hair around her finger as she tilted her head to rest against the wall.

“Oh, how nice,” Darien murmured, slightly distracted by the flash of Imogen’s tongue. “Always a pleasure to make a new friend… do you like dogs?”

"Well, I haven't seen one for a while but yes, my Auntie used to have one and I used to be around her house about 24/7 so I would see her dog all the time, Bernard, his name was," She let out an amused laugh before she then returned back to sit beside Darien, she thought that she could make the most of gaining a new friend. Flicking her leg over her knee she then rested her hands on her lap as she looked to him, giving him another charming smile and flashing her pearl white teeth.
