Melody still had a mark on her upper arm from where Alex had gripped onto her, and she felt the need to cover it as soon as she heard him speak. The slimy beast. She thought to herself. She pulled down her straw hat and continued to coo to her plants, praying they would find something more interesting to do.

"My name is Alex, I know your friend Melody," he smiled sitting up again, "You and I, we're pretty alike. You don't realise it yet, but you will realise it later." He sighed and looked at Jack chewing on his lip, he was pretty cute. For someone who seemed a little mad - well, according to stories.

"Melody..." Jack said tonelessly. He still wasn't sure how he felt about her. "I see..." He shook his head and ran a hand through his brown hair, messing it up even more than it was already. "What did you mean by 'we're alike'?" He finally asked, thinking he knew the answer but not one-hundred percent sure that he did.

"The moon was pretty bright last night don't you think?" he asked knowing Jack would get the hint. However not everyone knew what he was so he had to play it safe. "Melody?" he asked quietly, "What's up with you and her? She doesn't seem to like you very much."

Jack was right and replied, "I agree, it was pretty bright." He then sighed and went on, "Melody and I... had a... thing, but from what I know, it's over." He shrugged, that's pretty much it. "Not sure if I still feel the same way as I used to."

Natasha had been listening to there little chat. not really paying attention to what they were talking about. She sat up "Hello Jack"Natasha said with a smile. She had never meet Melody but was sure that they were talking about one of the professors at the school.

Melody listened to the conversations, snorting at parts in her mind. A fling?! He knows it was more than a dumb fling. We were in love- are in love? Melody shook her head, stroking a mandrake's leaves with her gloved finger. Plants still loved her, her plants would always love her. Plants were like animals, kind, loyal, and if you loved them they'll love you back. Not like men- not like people. People were vulnerable, volatile, and full of mindless hate.

Jack stood up and walked around, following his nose. There was somebody nearby, and he knew exactly who it was. "Melody?" He asked, seeing the woman. "Melody, why are you hiding?" He felt guilty about what he had said to Alex, but kept it hidden. "Why are you over here?" He walked over to her until his face was inches from hers, but there was no malice in his expression, just curiosity. He felt as if he needed to be close to her.

Melody looked at him, her face searching his, eyes darting like lightning across his tousled features and scruffy beginning of a beard. She didn't say a word as she took off her gloves, finger by finger, and set them down on the worktable. She looked away from him, not speaking, as she took of her straw hat and turned on her heel, making for the greenhouse door as she set the watering can on the floor. She coudl feel the anger boiling up inside her core, but she wasn't going to let it show here...

Confused, Jack quickly went after her, grabbing her around the waist. "Why so angry?" He asked, knowing that he had probably done something stupid to piss her off. "I'm sorry... can't we talk about it?"

"You're such an arrogant jerk!"
"Then why don't you leave? If I'm such a horrible jerk, then why don't you leave and never come back?"
"Maybe I will, you asshole! Get out of my life! I hate you!"

Melody turned quickly, her hair bouncing like copper springs. Her lips were pressed in a thin pink line, a sure sign she didn't trust herself. She pushed open the door, the bright sunlight pouring into the room. She couldn't bring herself to speak, she had no idea what would come out. A fling? How dare he?

Jack stood there, stunned for a moment, before going after her again. Grabbing her forearms, he whirled her around to face him, said "I'm sorry" and kissed her on the mouth, trying to tell her that he was sorry that he had messed up again and hoping that she understood what he was trying to say.

Melody melted into the kiss after the initial shock wore off, her hands coming to rest on his shoulders. She felt her leg sort of pop, and she kissed him back, hard, forgiveness and tension and anger melting into passion, driving the force of the sudden kiss into insanity. Melody stayed against him for what felt like hours, but was probably only a mere moment. She felt him relax under it all... forgiveness was yet to come, but she could feel it... you can't blame someone for being confused like that, it's not fair...

As he felt Melody relax into him, Jack deepened the kiss, putting his arms around her waist and drawing her body even closer to his, feeding the intensity with his own. He kissed her jawline, her neck. Mmm... delicious. He thought as his mouth went over her skin, sending sparks across his own. He had missed this so much.

Melody moaned as he kissed her neck, running her hands through his hair. She then brought one hand down to the back of his neck and the other kept going, and slid down his back and just under his shirt, feeling his toned back. How long had it been? Far too long. Melody felt the brilliant sunlight beat down on her hair, heating it and making it glimmer like light was trapped inside every strand. It was such a beautiful day...

Jack felt her hand on his back and intensified the kisses, bringing his mouth back onto hers, holding her tightly against his body... it had been way too long.

Melody kissed him, riding her hand further up his shirt. She missed him, the way he felt, the way he smelled, the way he kissed. Why had she left this again? When every kiss left her breathless, every embrace left her tingling? What had happened? Every dumb argument.... melody started thinking in music again, with the lyrics of Florence and The Machine.

Aj walked in, seeing a pretty girl sitting with a cute boy and a vampire outside the greenhouse. She walked past a couple that was busy fervently making out and proceeded to talk to the group. She fidgeted with a piece of paper in the pocket of her bejeweled leather jacket, which perfectly matched her red mini dress. Aj's black combat boots crunched the grass as she sat down next to the other blonde girl. "Hello." She looked at the group. "I'm Aj" She looked out from under the rim of her metallic silver paperboy had, looking through her white blonde hair at each face.

Edward had more or less zooned out of the conversation and had felt no need to move else where, yet slowly the corwds was growing and therefore it wouldn't be long before he would probably leave either way, he gazed in his own world looking out over the lake. as sudden voice of greeting broke his mild barrier, he lifted his butterscotch gaze to a girl, whom he had never seen before, yet who had recently introduced herslef, out of polietness he inclinded his head "Hello, It's a pleasure to meet you AJ, I'm Edward Cullen" He stated idly, before he shifted his gaze else where perhaps he could levae now, go and find Molly? or Faith, Or someone, that involved a no ever growing group.
