Shiro's eyes lit up! "Oh Quenya!!" she exclaimed "Do you think he would teach me more!? I only got to learn some basics, my last name is Quenya, Rana means wanderer..." she stopped, she was babbling like a child.

Mischievously she said, and I would call you, "Satendaya..." she breathed the word huskily, musically, as Quenya was spoken, as it should be said, "But if he tells you what that means I will never forgive him!!" she warned with a crooked smile...she didn't know why she admitted the word she had secretly labeled this man.

"Truely we are vandë omentaina!...Well met," she sighed. She picked up a tendril of copper hair and twirled it around her finger wistfully.

"Well, do you people wanna get there?" Jim asked, yawning. "I want a nap anywho." he said. "We should get there before I go to sleep" he said half-joking.

Shiro turned and smiled at Jim, she hadn't forgotten him, "Alright I'm ready, lead the way then! I can't wait to see this clearing, I hope it is nicer than the last one I found!"

She addressed Darien, "And I am now anxious to meet this friend of yours, I wonder if he knew my instructor...Was he from around here?" she asked "Well, she taught me in Ireland where I am from, and where I grew up."

Jim nodded and began walking. "You from Ireland? That's nice." he said, begginning to hum a song.

Shiro's mind conjured images of home and of her beautiful teacher. She had been a forest elf, very earthy with eyes green as the glen and hair like the soil in a rich brown. She had been quite different than the house elves here at the castle.

Shiro had to hasten her pace to keep up with the retreating figures as they left to find this pool. Darien had said he, so she knew it was not the same elf...but there were not that many elvenfolk in Ireland, so surely he had to know her. Perhaps she would be with him!?

Shiro followed with a hidden excitement, to meet this new elf, and see the important book he had for Darien, would be a highlight in her day. She realized with surprise she had thought of home without a trace of meloncholy. Without even knowing it Darien had given her this gift, a way to think of good times and warm memories and sidestep the sadness that usually accompanied her remembrances of home.

Aoi picked up on her changed emotion and followed obeniently like a puppy going on a walk with his master. Her happiness had helped him drop his guard a little. They brought up the rear of the group, behind Darien, as they made their way through the forest.

Jim nodded. "Yep, we're pretty close now. You want to take a shortcut or go the regular way?" he asked.

Jim shrugged. "Alrighty, then." he said calmly. "The regular way is safer, anyway." he said, walking across a bridge. "We should be there in 10 minutes."

Shiro followed behind the two men. Aoi brought up the rear, but he was interested in looking for berries or anything tasty that might be in these trees and bushes they were passing through. She was glad there was someone else to make the decision as to which way to go, as a wanderer she enjoyed taking short cuts which amounted to being the long way around; however, it was getting late, and Darien had said he was supposed to meet his friend quite some time ago.

She smiled when he mentioned getting her home safely, it was different for someone to worry about her. Her step lightened as Jim said they had about ten minutes before they reached the pool, she could smell the sweet water already!

Jim yawned as they arrived. "Alright, there it is. And I see an short elf guy, I suppose that's your friend." he said, sitting on a rock. "Hey," he said gesturing to the elf.

((I'm sooo laughing right now...I'm sorry Jim I'm not laughing at you but Daemiond isn't short...think more Lord of the Rings Elves...tall, lithe, beautiful creatures...))

Shiro heard Jim say they had arrived, and looked where he pointed toward a figure. It was a man who was tall and graceful even just standing, his silver hair cascaded down his back and although she couldn't see his entire face he was handsome. Too handsome, she thought!

She could easily see her beautiful instructor beside this man, her earthy auburn hair and green eyes would complement his silver hair; her sunkissed tan skin contrast his.

She didn't wait for Darien to introduce them, she hoped he wouldn't think she was ride.

"Mae Govannen!" she bowed her head slightly and greeted politely, not in Quenya but in Sindarin. "Torashiro i eneth nín, Man eneth lín?"

She stopped after asking his name, and before she made a complete fool of herself with her limited knowledge. She knew far less of Sindarin than Quenya, and not enough Quenya at alll!

(Oh, I didn't know that, ignore what I said, I just finshed watching a few Yugioh the Abridged Series episodes, that guy's funny.)

Jim grunted. "Heya, Daemiond." he said. "How are ya." he laid down on the grass. "Did I mention that werewolf I met yesterday?" he asked him.
