It had been a long time since Alex had been into his forest. His home. The last time he had come in with Rose he had killed a centaur and done worse. It had such terrible memories inside it's dusky exterior. But that was why Alex loved it so much. It really was the only place he felt safe. The centaurs - luckily - didn't know him in human form, only as a wolf, and so he was able to still walk freely among the broken trees and ferns. But now he was with someone new. Someone he had hardly talked to, yet here he was - the young lycanthrope and the Gryffindor. Alex smirked as he remembered the last person to come into his clearing uninvited had left with a broken arm. Then he remembered Edward - the vampire had almost had his shoulder ripped off by the wolf. The beast had such power and was now more than a guilty pleasure for Alex to hide away. He was proud of what he was. It didn't bother him anymore.

He pulled the other boy deeper into the forest as the wind picked up a little. Darting between the trees like a lost rabbit they finally made it to his clearing. Alex bit back a smile as he looked around. It was exactly as he had left it. The broken trees, the blood stained floor. The corpses of rodents littered. It needed a spring clean, but Alex had missed the chance. He picked up a dead rabbit and threw it loosely into a pile with a few rats and the remains of a deer. Littered about were dark wolf hairs and even a few bright red fox hairs from where Rose had been in her animagus form. It smelt like her too. Alex scrunched up his nose in distaste. He would have to sort that out.

Morgan appraised the forest quickly as they were hurrying through it in such haste. He was glad for his quick reflexes as they suddenly stopped at a clearing. He looked around himself, this was an animal's lair... he pondered...pieces clicking into place, was Alex the owner of the animal...or the animal itself.

Either way he was here, and he wasn't leaving...nor was he afraid. Instead he was in a heightened state of awareness and anticipation. Alex had brought him here for a reason, surely a good one.

He wasn't repulsed as Alex easily handled the corpse of a rabbit, nor by the other remains strewn about. He also didn't miss the large canine hairs or the small reddish ones. He wasn't absolutely certain what animal these last were though.

He arched his eyebrow, "So?" he inquired, waiting for what would come next.

Alex turned back to the boy and chuckled lightly, "So?" he asked in the same tone of voice the other boy had used, "So what?" he added his eyebrow raised slightly. He stepped closer to the other boy and ran his fingers lightly over the crest. Gryffindor. What a stupid house of blundering idiots. They all thought they were the best, just because Godric Gryffindor was a 'saint'. What did he get stuck with? An intelligent woman. Fan-bloody-tastic. He always wanted to be in Slytherin. That would be his real home. But no, he was in the smart house. Not that he wasn't smart, in fact, he was extremely smart. He pulled out his wand and cleared up a little more. He moved his fingers lower down the boy's body, grinning to himself. He didn't care if it made the other boy uncomfortable, there was no where for the boy to run.

Morgan had a flash of insight as Alex parried his provocation. He grinned at the image...Oh he loved his curse. However, he disliked the way Alex touched the crest on his robes...with distaste. But he knew it was not him that caused it, the insight had revealed that. Besides, it was not his choice to be in Gryffindor. Alex was in his choice of house, he knew intellect was an asset.

He grinned as his heart thrummed in his chest at Alex's touch. His black eyes bored into Alex's trying desperately to tear down the Damnable walls the boy had erected.

His own hand reached up to wander up the arm and continued to pass through the thick hair on the back of Alex's head. He pulled him closer, because he knew it wasn't what was expected.

Alex smirked and draped his hand on the boy's waist. His free hand moved up the boy's frame to his lips where his long fingers traced the outline delicately, almost as if he was mesmerized. He leant forward as if to kiss the boy but moved hie had slightly so his lips were almost pressed against the boy's ear. "You know, you should be terrified of me. You don't know who I am or what I can do. Yet here you are, unafraid and yet so alone. I'm not sure wether you're stupid or just unaware," he grinned, moving back and dropping his arms to his sides. He was a suitable distance away to show he wasn't upset or angry. But far enough away not to be touched, not unless the boy moved closer.

Morgan sighed as Alex drew near, then frowned as he withdrew to speak into his ear. Damn he hated that... he couldn't supress a shiver of excitement. It wasn't his fault his ears were sensitive. He didn't like the loss of Alex's body heat when he stepped back.

His face showed his amusement. "In this forest I am supposed to be surprised to commune with Mythical creatures?"

He arched his eyebrow again, a signiture expression... "I do understand what you are..." he paused wondering whether he should confess his talent, it wasn't reliable, completely accurate -yes-, but he never knew when it would come or go, "I am a seer, and I like what I've seen," he finally finished simply; shrugging slightly as he closed the distance by half.

He wouldn't push, instead he waited to see if Alex would meet him halfway.

Alex suppressed a smirk, "I would hardly call myself a mythical creature, though I don't deny, my looks are aesthetically pleasing," he said grinning as he stepped half an inch closer to the other boy. It was strange to think that had met less than an hour or so ago and Alex had already shown the other boy where he spent most of his time.

Alex stepped even closer and rested two fingers under Morgan's chin, making the boy look directly at him. "A seer?" he said, almost sneering, he'd had enough problems with Trelawny to not trust anything that said it predicted the future. "And what have you seen? The monster? The human? The weakness or the strengths?" he asked breathily. The added effect on his voice made it sound very alluring.

Morgan hated the sneer in Alex's voice, it was why he had pondered whether to tell him how he knew the other side he had seen. He got enough flack from his Mother about his faulty ability.

He sighed, "I have seen only enough to know that you are a true werebeing, and to know that I don't fear you. I can't say more than that, because I have only seen that much." He made no move to take his gaze from Alex's, his eyes revealed the truth of his statement.

Besides he liked looking into Alex's eyes, he could lose himself in them. Perhaps he had...the part that was sensible and reserved anyhow.

Alex smirked slightly and finally closing the gap between them. His lips met Morgan's in a harsh battle for dominance. The boy's lips were soft, but he wasn't like Gary. Alex mentally slapped himself, Gary wasn't coming back so he needed to get over it. But they had been so close. They were almost married and then Gary had run away again. But why? why had he left? Was Alex not good enough? That was probably the reason. Everything had fallen apart since Alex had been bitten. Alex moved away from the boy suddenly and very coldly. He hated what the vampire had turned him into. Before they had met Alex was a quiet shy little boy with no wish to stand out from the crowed. But look at him now and all you saw was a mess of strangled emotion waiting to break free. "You should be scared," he said suddenly, turning back to the boy, his eyes a horrible shade of amber. "I could kill you easily and not think twice about it. Your corpse would be left here to be devoured by the crows and the worms. Run Morgan. Run away and never come back. I'm no good for you," he said finally, the smallest hint of sadness in his voice, but it was easily covered up by the cold tone.

Morgan returned the kiss with vigor, it had been a while since he had had a close frined much less someone who he responded to like this. But was prepared when it broke off all too soon. Morgan looked at Alex with a fiery expression. He was proud he didn't cringe when the tone changed and Alex's eyes glowed tawny.

But he was also defiant, and he didn't want to run. He had run too much in his life, from his future...from his past...from his overbearing family and their want for perfection. From his own thoughts and emotions even.

He stood and watched Alex carefully.

Then he returned the smirk Alex had given him before. "Yeah, you may not be good for me, but what if I'm good for you?? What if I don't want to go or care what happens..."

He snapped his mouth shut. What had he said that for. Stupid, stupid mouth always shooting off before he thought about what he said. But the fact was he meant it.

Alex growled and took ahold of the boy's shirt, pushing him against the only remaining tree in his clearing, "How are you good for me? Hmm?" he snarled, not really knowing where his sudden anger had come from. "I don't need anyone. I thought I did, but I don't and I certainly don't need you," he finished dropping the Gryffindor to the floor. "You're pathetic, just like everyone else in this damn place. "забягвам," he muttered to himself - run away. "Понякога хората са най-досадни на всички," he added, - Sometimes, people are the most annoying of all -glancing at the other boy, waiting for him to get up and run. But Alex doubted he would.

Morgan lay there on the ground. He had learned to shut up...finally. But he wasn't leaving. He would be drawn back like a magnet if he tried. One thing he never could do was leave something unfinished.

There was something harsh about Alex, but he had already admitted to himself about being masochistic, besides he really didn't care if Alex did hurt him. He had exceptional healing ability, and his wand was still in his holster. He almost snickered when he thought about the stupid wand holster he'd made, but it was effective; voice propelled, and impermeable. As if he would have time to defend himself.

But he just couldn't leave. If this was his time to die he would give one hell of a fight but so be it.

His black eyes turned hard like black diamonds, his favorite stone. He lay his head back on the tree trunk, awkward but not too uncomfortable. He waited a half snarl of defiance on his face.

Alex turned away from the other boy, running a hand through his soft hair he tried to think. He didn't need friends. Friends always left him anyway - but then again he always complained about having no one to talk to, even if he never talked about anything he wanted to. He was scared, still, of what people thought of him. Even if he pretended he wasn't.

He turned back to the boy, his hands shoved in his pockets. "Look...you're cute and everything...but you really shouldn't be my friend. I've killed people, I've lied, I've cheated...even my fiancee didn't want me anymore. You're better off without me. I should never have brought you here."

Morgan looked at Alex mutely. He was trying to decide what to say; it sounded blase to say he didn't care, even if it was true.

He sat up and looked at Alex, he regretted bringing him here and this depressed him. Morgan frowned and the look was off on his usual passive or smiling face. He finally spoke, "You had a chance to kill me just now and you didn't.

You also have a chance to just yell at me and tell me to curl up and die, and yet you are being honest.

Finally," he paused thinking how corny it was going to sound, but said it anyway, "I want you regardless of what your fiance thought."

He snapped his mouth shut again, and looked at Alex from his position on the ground. He was still frowning, but his eyes were hard like diamonds again. He was angry for being told to go away when he wanted to be here. He had assessed Alex as a challenge and he certainly was, but he had come because he wanted to.

"I'm being honest because it's the only thing I have left," he stated simply as a few leaves fell unwanted onto the floor. He eventually sighed and extended his hand to pull Morgan to his feet. "This is your last chance, if you don't go I'll probably do something I'll regret," he added, though his tone made it quite clear that blood wasn't going to be on the menu.

He bit his lip and looked intently at the boy, as if scared as to what the answer would be. Either way, it would end up hurting - Alex more so than Morgan.

Morgan accepted Alex's hand with disdain. He sighed deeply as if even this contact wasn't enough, "Do you really want me to go? I will leave... if that's what you want. But I followed you beacause I wanted to come.

But consider this, would killing me make you feel better? The fight, the hunt...death, blood...all that you are; would that make you finally smile?

Or would me just walking out of here do that?" he concluded sadly.

What did it matter if something that had started with such promise ended like this? Even if it was just a rebound the small smile he had seen on Alex's face was worth it. He had offered his challenge, and he would back it up. It was a good day to make a friend, or die trying.

Alex sighed and stepped forward so that their noses were almost touching, "Neither would make me smile," he said quietly, running a hand up the boy's side, all his anger lost. "I don't want a repeat of...last time. It almost killed me. It is, still, killing me... I don't want to be alone, but I'm not safe. How long are you going to be able to stand there, knowing I kill people for pleasure, knowing a can tear families apart. Knowing that I don't care what the effect is as long as I get a fix of blood once a month. If that scares off a vampire; you're not going to last long," he said finally. Dropping his arm from the boy's side slowly.

Morgan's telltale heart thudded in his chest when Alex approached again. It was definately not fear, but strong emotion that caused it to speed up and beat harder. He watched Alex's face change, and his defenses finally drop a little. His touch sent a shiver down his spine.

Morgan listened to Alex's words, his fears. His skin was instantly cold when Alex dropped his hand to his side.

He thought about it only briefly and spoke so low he alomst whispered, "Even a Vampire couldn't love you? Did he even know what he was giving up?"

Morgan looked into Alex's eyes as he said, "I have no doubt of what you are capable, what do you think I saw to show me what you were? However, I can also see that you are worth fighting for. I am no Vampire, nor am I quite like you...I'm only me. But ...I am still here, and I will be here until you tell me to go; and maybe not even then will I leave." The edge of his lips curved up slightly.

"You don't know me, so you are only just seeing how Damned persistent I can be. Give me a chance to make you smile, I promise you won't regret it."

He reached up to touch Alex's face and stroked across his cheekbone. His skin felt smooth under his thumb, warm and alive.

Alex smiled, properly for what seemed like the first time in ages. He had given up, if Morgan wanted to be with him then Alex wasn't going to stop him anymore. The boy knew what he was and obviously didn't care so Alex let himself go. Leaning forward again he kissed he boy slowly and tenderly on the lips. His hand moved up to cup Morgan's cheek as the lycanthrope closed his eyes. Just feeling the boy against him was enough. It had been so long, so so long. This - him and Morgan - was turning into his freedom more than being a werewolf had ever done.

This was one victory Morgan was going to treasure... That smile on Alex's face was worth anything that would follow. Ok maybe the feel of Alex's lips soft against his wasn't so bad a victory either. He allowed his body to melt into Alex's; getting so close you couldn't see where he left off and Alex began. His skin flamed at the contact, but he wanted to be closer --feel more. He pulled back for a second to look into Alex's eyes, he was definately lost now.

This was well worth the risk, he thought as he touched his lips to Alex's softly at first, and then with more force. He was pretty sure he knew who would dominate this relationship, but that didn't mean he wouldn't enjoy the fight.
