Rose noticed Alex's position, then looked at him meaningfully, hoping he'd take her hint. She moved over to the two silently, grinning uncontrollably as she raised a finger to her lips to tell Alex to keep quiet. And then, she pounced - on Gary - poking him and tickling him, undoing a button on his shirt and blowing a raspberry on his stomach, laughing and laughing. Everything was hilarious to her at the moment; it was bordering on manic, but it was too happy to be that right now. No, it was just nice, pleasant to be out in the fresh air, to feel the sun on her skin, to have met someone new, to be teasing Gary. All very nice.

Gary shrieked and started thrashing around on the floor, desperately trying to get Rose to stop. "Rose! Stop....it....pl-" he stuttered, giggling. He caught a hold of her wrists and pulled her off of him. "You know i hate being tickled!" he whined, still clutching hold of her wrists, afraid that she would start again. His chest rose and fell heavily, even though he wasn't really out of breath. He narrowed his eyes at Rose and muttered, "B*tch," under his breath.

Alex grinned, the scene they were in looked like something out of a fairy tale...but then, someone once told him that all fairy tales had some truth. Maybe this was their truth. He watched Gary's chest, mesmerized. He knew he should stop before he fell too deep. But it was far too late. Alex bit his lip, trying to pull his eyes away. Eventually he had to close them, taking deep breaths to calm himself down.

She smiled but raised her knee dangerously close to Gary's crotch, accompanying the movement with a warning look. It wasn't a problem - they did this all the time, this was pretty much their set routine. "'It's okay to be a b*tch if you're pretty,'" said Rose in a sickly sweet voice, quoting one of the more irritating girls in their year, a girl whom Rose detested with a passion, and who hated Rose just as much. Most of the Ravenclaw girls hated Rose, come to think of it; more of them fancied Gary than would let on, and had a bizarre notion that the two were actually going out. I mean, honestly, just because we kiss a bit and we're always together and we used to do all kinds of stuff just for fun in the common room when we got bored or came back from Hogsmeade a bit p*ssed, doesn't mean we're dating. Get a grip.

Gary laughed loudly at that, "Oh yeah, yeah, of course it is," he said sarcastically, still laughing. He looked at her knee nervously then grinned at her sheepishly, "Ok i take it back. Of course you aren't a b*tch." He glanced at Alex and winked at him, "She so is," he mouthed silently, then turned back to Rose, grinning.

"I saw that!" She slapped him playfully - it wasn't hard, but it made a good sound on his cheek. "I have a feeling we're going to fall out today, mister," she teased, poking his nose. Pulling her wrists from his grasp, she sat up and grabbed her shirt and began to dress herself slowly, stopping half way through to cast a drying spell on her hair. She wasn't vain, but she was proud of her body. Sure, she was insecure about it, everyone was, but most of the time she was proud of it. Maybe proud was the wrong word; it wasn't as if she worked to keep herself slim, because she could eat for Britain most of the time and she was always drinking. More that she considered herself incredibly lucky to look this way and not have to worry about calories or health foods. She wasn't perfect, of course, but it was still nice. She ran her hands down her sides, down the curve of her waist and hips, onto her smooth legs before putting her skirt back on.

Alex smiled, leaning back against the tree in full day dream. Trying, again, to move the hair from his face he bit his lip slowly. He began to shiver slightly from the cold. He rubbed his hands together and blew air over them hoping to warm them up a little. Alex felt the cold even when it was hot. It was something to do with bad circulation, he hated it. Even in bed he would be cold. Nothing warmed him up. He reached over and put his jumper back over his head. Still cold.

Gary laughed, "We are always 'falling out', missy," he said, sitting up once she had got off him. He looked at Alex and frowned, "We can go inside if you're cold," he offered, noticing his shivers. He hadn't thought the water was that cold but then again he could never quite remember what was cold and what wasn't for a human. He looked at Rose and frowned, she didn't look cold.

"N-no," Alex stammered, smiling a little, "I'm always c-cold, d-d-don't worry about it." He rubbed his legs to try and get the blood moving, but it didn't seem to help. He went to reach for his wand, but realized it was in the bags Faith had sent up to his room. 'Great,' he thought pulling his legs up to his chest.

Gary chuckled and cast a warming spell on Alex. "Ahh i know the feeling well," he said, smirking. Of course he didn't, seeing as he never felt cold or hot, but he could pretend. He smiled, "Any better?" he asked, leaning back against the tree they were sitting under.

"Yeah. Thanks," Alex said quietly. He'd never thought about doing that. So Gary was kind and cute, he really was quite a catch...if Alex was ever able to catch him. A silence spread over them, neither of the three really knowing what to do next. It wasn't exactly awkward, just...quiet.
