Personality:Luna is open-minded,unique,calm,a little quiet,and likes to tell the truth when it hurts. She is very friendly and has a knack for comforting those in need.
History:Luna was born in 1981 and lived in Ottery St. Catchpole with her parents. When she was nine, her mother died in a spell experiment, leaving young Luna to be raised by her father. Luna was there for her mother's death, letting her to see thestrals, and believed that she would see her mother again after death.
At the age of eleven, Luna started school at Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw house. Because of her "weirdness", Luna did not have any friends in her early school years; many other students made fun of her, calling her "Loony Lovegood" and taking her belongings. Luna seemed to take this all in stride, though, and never tried to change herself.
In Luna's fourth year, she met Harry Potter on the train and shared a compartment with him,Ginny Weasley, and Neville; they were later joined by Ron and Hermoine. She believed Harry's story about the return of Lord Voldermort and stood up for him once in front of a group of other fourth and fifth year students. She stood and trotted along with the crowd to Hogwarts. She searched the crowd. Someone had to be here she knew. Ginny,Neville,Harry,Ron,Hermonie,anyone?! She glanced up at the moon and begin to drift off as she continued forward and walked off the walkway and into the fields. She finally hit a tree and rubbed her head. "Ow...." She looked up and saw that nobody saw her and she sighed and got back in the crowd.
Almost there. Whew! She knew that this year was gonna be great. Something was telling her that it was. But then again, something was bothering her, like something bad was going to happen. Whatever it was, she felt like she was ready for it. It wasn't going to get in the way of her fun this year. "Hey Loony", a boy called from her left and the next thing she knew she was pushed lightly to her right. She bumped into a girl and they fell right there on the ground."I'm sorry.."Luna started. "WATCH WHERE YOU STEP LOONY!!!"the girl screamed as she picked up her things and strode past Luna.
Luna sighed. This was going to a long year. She got her things, put on her favorite pair of Spectrespecs, brushed off some grass, and continued on to Hogwarts.
