PostSubject: Why is a Raven like a writing desk? (Molly and Edward)   Sun Jun 14, 2009 3:13 pm

It was my first time on a plane in a long time, I was heading to America to revisit my original parents. They moved from Scotland years ago, and I felt the need to bring along Edward Cullen as a comfort companion. He didn't seem too fussed about it initially, until i then told him about the rest of the journey, being very long and he knew i was fragile - And as a close friend would do, he agreed to accompany me to my parents, stay with me and then return to the large cluster of responsibilities in a weeks time. I am slightly excited about this journey, except for the fact I am a extremely nervous flyer, though Edward doesn't seem bothered - I'll have't to pretend.

Molly scribbled down in a rush as she leaned forward in her seat. She sat by the window, of all places. Shifting uncomfortably, she then jolted down a few more words, before she then folded her book shut and placed her pen behind her ear. Turning her gaze quickly to people putting their carry-ons into the overhead storage. Eyeing them casually, Molly pulled her now blue tinted blonde hair over her left shoulder and rolled her shoulders. Trying to remain as calm as possible. They boared a good ten minutes ago, and the plane had landed a rough hour later than sceduled. Causing Edward to almost restrain the nervous flyer. She put her fingertips to her head and watched the aisle as people shuffled through. Edward had to do something quickly and told her to board while he done so. Molly trusted that Edward wouldn't abandon her so she sat in her seat, twiddling her fingers nervously. Edward and Molly seemed joined at the hips recently, and Molly felt herself rely more and more on Edward's company. Though every dangerous angle or such, even falling over Edward would catch her before anything harmful happened. It was ridiculas how clumsy she was. She couldn't sit long enough even now, picking up her cup of orange juice, slipping from her grasp and causing specks of juice on her white blouse. She frowned and dabbed at it with a tissue, "Are you alright ma'am?" asked the stewardess whom had noticed Molly panicing, Molly nodded quickly, "Im fine, Have you seen a man - rather tall, golden eyes, brown messy windswept hair?" she asked, almost franticly, The stewardess nodded, "He's just boarded" Molly smiled and sat back in her seat, still dabbing the juice stain.

Edward Did bored, although technically he did not need luggage, for he did not sweat, nor did he really smell, yet of course he had to bring something, to not arouse suspicions, He had only just parked the car in the weekly parking space, and stuck his ticket to his window. He too had also hunted specifically, for the week he was to spend with Molly, of course much to the dissaproval of Faith, yet he had promised Molly he would go, and had promised Faith nothing would happen and that, he'd ring her everyday if she wished it. At anyway, with no hand luggage, other then his phone, his wallet, his book, and a puzzle book and then a pen that was all it consisted off and he carried the items with ease under his arms.

Avoiding the many gazes from the air hotesses Edward made his way down the plane and imidiatly spotted Molly. Casually he sat down beside her putting the books in the small pouch in front of him, would he too have to pretend to be asleep? probly, for the flight was going to be pretty long. In truth Edward did loath flying, the many voices that would constantly babble about his head, would grow and grow till it was possible that madness would be the outcome. None the less. He had promised Molly he would go with her, she had not seen her parents for a while and she was terrified of flying, that and she was very fragile. Perhaps more so than Faith. Turning to Molly he asked "Any hand luggage you want me to put in the overhead locker?" He questioned lightly, the stwardess was still hovering near by. Polietly as Edward could he ignored her glances, there would no doubt probably be plenty of perstering form her during the flight, and he was truly thankfull that it wouldn't even be for that long.

"Edward" Molly breathed, as she looked up at him. Smiling at his warm liquid eyes, and his velvet voice that sunk into her ears with great welcoming. She cuddled herself and then raised her eyebrows at her shirt she was still franticly rubbing. Then shrugged lightly and pulled her bag onto her lap and handed it too him, "Could you please put that up there?" she asked, she had already stuffed her books on the tray infront of her where her orange juice was. She tilted her head and watched him as he put it up and eventually seated himself beside her, she placed her seatbelt around her small waist and looked at the Stewardess that was glancing often at Edward, Molly smiled and looked at Edward and rolled her eyes, a small giggle escaped her lips and she buried her face into the instruction booklet of emergancy. For some strange reason Edward's new stalker didn't bother her, and she merely found it amusing.

Each day they had been together, Molly was positive that it was somehow getting harder and harder for them to seperate. Much to Faiths disaproval anyway. That to some degree made Molly a little cocky and made her smile in the most unpleasant way. It wasn't diliberate of course, well recently it was just habit. Edward would meet with Molly frequently in the forest, and they would run from one end of the forest to the other, to town and back, and now to another country. It was a great adventure for Molly, but sometimes she wondered if Edward was enjoying this or it was just an excuse to get away from a child and posessive mother. She looked at him out the corner of her eye and then sat back, resting her head against the chair, "So, Edward, excited?" she teased, smiling.

Edward took Molly's bag with a swift nod the stood once again and pushed the bag into the over head locker. shutting it firmly after. He then sat back down and put his seat belt around his wasit he shifted uncomfortably it was only his second time of wearing a seatbelt, he had worn one once, with Faith when they had gone to America, surprsingly only it was to Chicargo then, and that had not been the best of flights. He doubted this one would be any better. Puring his lips he head Molly's simple question and Edward shrugged. "so-so" he muttered and glanced around then frowned, his head throbbed alredy. With a sighe, he slouched down in his seat a faraction and rubbed his temple, why did humans have to think! It was so infiltrating. None the less he would simply have to grin and bare it. Of course Edward was Edward and was therefore oblivious to the many glances the flight attendent sent his way. He hoped this flight would go quicker then before. Within moments they begun the demenstration and pointed to the various excits. Edward simply stared at the chair in front of him.

Molly blinked and looked down, feeling strangely uncomfortable in his company. She knew that things would bother him, but at the same time she felt it was her that caused it. "If you hurry you can head home?" She whispered under her breath, the woman was slowly shutting the door and then it finally closed, Though Edward was quick enough to move out. She hugged herself and tugged at her jumper and pulled it on, she turned and looked at him and sighed, "So... how are things?" she asked as casual as she could try.

!No it's fine..I promised you I would go wiht you, so I will go with you" He added sternly then turned his head to look to Molly. At her question slowly he raised his shoulders, it depends what concept you mean in that term." He added then slowly with a slightly forced effort he smiled "Over all it could be better.." He lowered his voice so only Molly could hear, he too bent his head in her direction "I don't understand why you humans hae to think so loudly" He mused, he had to distract himself some how. "What about you..are you excited about seeing your parents?" he asked slolwy tilting his head in a questionable manner.

"Uh huh" she mumered silently as he admitted: Things could be better. That little sentence was all she needed to know that Edward and Faith had, gone the extra mile. Though from Edward's expression, it did not please him, nor did it infact please herself. She turned slightly in her seat to face him more, noticing a woman across the way looking in there direction, thus, Molly lowered her tone so only Edward could hear, "Well You know I hardly think unless its nessacery," she then pursed her lips and glanced at the woman, "If you could hear my thoughts you wouldn't still be sat there" she whispered to him, and straightened herself up and adjusted her seatbelt and leant back in her seat, "I am, nervous about seeing them, But I'm sure they'll be thrilled - If there together, Last I heard mom and dad were fighting, trouble in paradise-" she then looked out the window "-Probably why I was sent here." she sighed then rubbed her forehead and looked at Edward, "I hate to drag you into this, But at the same time, I'm glad you came along"

Edward frowned lightly at Molly's comment he arched an eyebrow then said "On the contary, I can hear your thoughts, half the time you do not think, or do not think loud enough..My..talent as it were, only picks up cert frequency's of 'voices' " he added as he then looked away as the plane begun to revrese he would call faith when they were flying straight. Although he wondered if that was even allowed recently what with new laws. He turned his head to look to Molly again as she continued. "I am, nervous about seeing them, But I'm sure they'll be thrilled - If there together, Last I heard mom and dad were fighting, trouble in paradise Probably why I was sent here. I hate to drag you into this, But at the same time, I'm glad you came along" She spoke and Edward lightly shrugged his shoulders, "You asked and I complied, anything for a friend of course. Besides, I am sure things will be fine once we arrive." He stated then picked out his puzzle book form the pocke and flipped open a page, of Sudoku as he then begun to swiflty jot down numbers in the small boxes.

"Thank you" she whispered and felt the plane suddenly take off. The two exchanged stories since they had been seperated. Laughing every now and then, and at some point Molly had drifted to sleep. Edward of course pretending beside her. They woke up for food and beverages and talked a little more and eventually the flight was over. The plane soon decended and landed. The passengers flowed out like rats in a maze and Molly and Edward followed. Molly occasionally tripping and being caught by Edward. The two walked into the arrivals lounge and saw a man holding up Mollys name. Molly rushed over and smiled, "Thank god you came instead of Mom and Dad" she sighed in releif, pulling Edward over with all her strength which would seem like apoke to Edward, "This is my Uncle jackson, He's taking us to my parents" she told Edward, a smile sprending happily along her pearly teeth. Her hair laying delicately down her chest. Clutching her hand luggage and her suitcase handle with both hands.

It had taken them a near day to fly over to America and here they were, it was currently pouring down with rain and the tempreture was cold enough for the excuse to wear gloves so, with out Molly entierly noticing Edward had slipped on leather gloves that fit neatly to his had and did up his jacket, to make it look like he was cold. Leaving the plane with Molly he followed the small trail of people walking only slightly behind, and when Molly tripped Edward was beside her and steadying her. It did not take long for them to reach the arrivals lounge. Ahead there was a man tall and lean holding a card with Molly's name on it. Of course he knew for a fact many would asume he was Molly's boyfriend, and so Edward prepared himself for the countless times he would have to correct them. Coming to a stop before the man who was perhaps only slightly taller then Edward himself, Edward inclinded his head polietly and shook the mans hand, whom Molly had just said was in fact her uncle "It's a pleasure to meet you sir." Edward said his voice soft and formal.

Jackson had a rather husky voice, but it was a charming tone. He nodded and took hold of Molly's suitcase and dragged it out to the car, leading them out, he looked back at Edward with a cocky smile, "Nice to meet you too, Uh-" "Edward" "-Edward" He commented, with Molly's quick late introduction. They then walked out and Jackson threw their bags gently into the boot. The van was a navy blue colour with Eureka written across the side, with sliding doors and almost seven fold away seats inside, Jackson had a mildly large family. Jackson was Ethan's youngest brother, only twenty. They climbed into the van like car and Jackson turned on the engine and began to pull out. Looking out the corner of his eye to his rear veiw mirror every now and then "So, you two are friends?" he asked cautisously. Molly had a habit of attacking Jackson in his sentences. He couldn't be any older than she to the eye of a stranger - Though Jackson was only three years older. He appeared a respectably age, tall and slender, with his hair dragged by a comb to the side, his hair a strange brown black colour, and was almost as pale as Molly was. Albino family? Molly smiled and nodded, "Yep, Just friend's" she murmered, eyeing Edward with a sleek smile and rubbed her arms and looked at Jacksons expression in the mirror - He didn't look fussed, but there was half a smile on his lips. Molly shook her head lamely, "I'm sorry about the van - I should of brought the other car - You know your dad's been repairing cars lately?" he babbled on, Molly looked at Edward with an entertained expression, grabbing the seat infront of her and pulling herself forward, hugging the chair and looked at Jackson "Really?" "Yeah, he's doing quite a good job too, Though the other day he tripped over his tool box-" Molly instantly blushed, and rubbed her neck, laughing nervously.

Edward nodded then slipped into the huge van of a vehcile, he had a feeling they would not be going above 60. Supressing a small sigh, he sat in the back, by the window, and to appear remotely normal he put his seat belt on. Once done he then gazed idly out the window, nothing had changed drastically..there were a lot of big people then what he had remembered but, it was America all the same. Rasing his arm he rested it by the window, and ran his finger across his lips. Resisiting the urge to bite his finger as the world cralwed past. Hearing Jackson speak Edward lifted his head and caught Jackson looking to him, followed by the question. Edward nodded further more. "Yes Molly's a friend of mine and she wished for company on the flight, so she asked and I accepted..I doubt I shall be able to stay long in America though.." He said finally glancing briefly to Molly, for it was the first she would of heard of his news, and possible plans to leave early, depending on the situation.
